‘Multiple people including children found stabbed in New York daycare centre’

Multiple people including children have been found stabbed in a home in New York, according to reports.

Reports claim the residence in Flushing, the borough of Queens, operates as a daycare centre.

There are believed to be five victims – including infants – but the extent of their injuries remains unknown, reports claim.

A female suspect has been taken to hospital in police custody, according to RT.

She was reportedly found in the basement of the property with self-inflicted knife injuries on her wrists.

The female suspect is being treated for non life-threatening injuries, the reports claim.

Groups of police officers can be seen at the scene of the early morning incident, just before 4am.

A cordon is blocking off the residential area, with the police tape saying ‘do not cross’.
