Police believe woman held and assaulted at Saskatoon apartment

Saskatoon police detectives believe a 23-year-old woman was held and assaulted at an apartment building in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood over the weekend.

Rifle, imitation handgun seized in truck by Saskatoon police

An injured person was reported lying on the ground at a back alley in the 300-block of Avenue R South at around midnight on Feb. 9. The caller told police three people were running from the scene.

Officers found a woman who was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment of multiple serious injuries.

Police said evidence led them to a nearby apartment in the 1700-block of 20th Street West where they believe an assault and unlawful confinement took place.

No arrests have been made as the targeted enforcement section continues to investigate.
