An 18-year-old went viral on TikTok after appearing in court for viscously murdering her mother, and even developed a die-hard fan base of young people who idolised her "pretty looks" and "aesthetic".
Isabella Guzman stabbed her mother 79 times in the face, neck, and torso on the upstairs floor of their family home in the US state of Colorado.
Investigators claim that Guzman wasn't like the other children in her area – she would never smile, play or want to spend time with her parents.
It's understood that the 18-year-old had always held intense resentment and hate for her mum, Yun mi Hoy, CBS4 reported.
Isabella's parents had always been poor and were not able to afford many of the things Isabella wanted from a young age.
This always caused arguments, and her parents hoped that as she grew up she would gain a better understanding of why money was an issue for them.
But Isabella just grew up to hate and resent her parents even more – especially after they divorced.
She stayed living with her mum after her father left the house and the relationship showed no signs of getting better.

This only got worse when Yun mi Hoy brought her new boyfriend Richard home.
Isabela saw Richard as an attempted replacement of her father, which led to countless arguments in the household.
Things began to escalate when Isabella started issuing death threats to her frightened mother, promising she would "make her pay" for the way "she'd been treated".
These threats were taken to the police by Yun mi Hoy and Richard in a desperate attempt to stop the abuse.

One night, Richard allegedly took Isabella to the garden to speak about her behaviour and for once he came out of the situation feeling hopeful about her future, Medium reported.
But the next day while watching TV, Richard's heart sank when he heard bloodcurdling screams and loud thuds from upstairs.
Rushing to the bathroom, he attempted to open the door but it was locked shut. He was forced to bang helplessly on the wooden door and listen to his partner die as Isabela stabbed her mother 79 times.

It was later diagnosed that Isabella had been suffering from Schizophrenia. She told investigators that voices in her head had been controlling her.
The 18-year-old said she had believed her mum was a woman named Cecelia who she had to murder in order to save the world.
A judge accepted a plea of insanity and Guzman was sent to the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo.
Seven years on in 2020, Isabella started making claims she was back to full health and ready to re-enter society.
She told CBS4 that her sanity had been restored and had been destroyed previously due to years of abuse from her family.
She said: "I was not myself when I did that, and I have since been restored to full health.
"I was abused at home by my family for many years. My parents are Jehovah’s Witnesses, and I left the religion when I was 14, and the abuse at home worsened after I quit.
"If I could change it or if I could take it back, I would."
As it stands, the court has not granted any of Isabella Guzman's appeals for freedom – but she remains determined to re-enter the world soon.
