Talks between Prince Harry and senior royals have reportedly stalled due to endless leaks appearing in the press "from the Sussex side", sources claim.
Suspicions rose in royal circles after articles and comments surfaced within hours of Prince Harry returning to the US, reports The Sun.
There is reportedly alarm and misgivings about how quickly private conversations appear to enter the public domain.
On Wednesday, US magazine People published details of a telephone call that took place before Prince Philip's funeral between the Queen, her grandson Archie and Meghan.
Although not confirmed, it is claimed that People magazine is a publication favoured by the Sussexes and their friends.
Eyebrows were also raised when an article appeared on Wednesday written by Prince Harry's friend Omid Scobie, who also co-wrote Harry and Meghan’s biography, Finding Freedom.
Discussing the visit to the UK for Prince Philip's funeral Omid Scobie wrote in Harpers Bazaar that a source revealed Prince Harry met the Queen "privately" twice.
The source reportedly said to Scobie: "This trip was to honour the life of his grandfather and support his grandmother and relatives"
“It was very much a family-focused period of time.
"Saturday broke the ice for future conversations but outstanding issues have not been addressed at any great length. The family simply put their issues to one side to focus on what mattered.”
There were hopes that conversations reportedly held after the funeral between Prince Harry, Prince William and their father Prince Charles had brought some reconciliation.
The article by Omid Scobie also denied that Harry wrote a “deeply personal” letter to his father before the funeral.

Royal commentator Phil Dampier told The Sun on Thursday: "One of Charles and Williams’ big fears is that whatever discussions they have with Harry are immediately leaked.
"They will be worried that if they get into any great detail, the next thing they know it will be out in the public domain, which makes it extremely difficult to heal the wounds long-term."
No official plans have been formalised, but it is expected that Harry will return to the UK in July for the unveiling of a statue of his late mother, Princess Diana, on July 1.
The Daily Star approached the Sussex's representatives for comment.
