Prince Harry treats mum-to-be Meghan Markle to 3-night ‘33K BABYMOON’ getaway
“Harry really wanted to treat her”
The royal couple booked themselves into Hampshire’s swanky five-star Heckfield Place hotel.
It is estimated the pair coughed up £33,000 for the three-night stay, with the “Long Room” alone going for £10,000 a night.
The apartment-stlyle room comes with its own dining room and two private terraces.
It is unclear whether the couple were charged full whack at the hotel, owned by US billionaire Gerald Chan.
The pair enjoyed each others’ company, preferring fireside dinners in their room rather than mingling with fellow guests, according to a well-placed royal source.
A close pal of the royals said Meghan was particularly keen to get away to the Georgian hotel.
They told The Sun: “Meghan is only a couple of weeks away from giving birth, so Harry really wanted to treat her.”
The source added: “They wanted total rest and relaxation, and Meghan was really attracted to the organic ethos of the hotel which produces much of its own food on an on-site farm.
“It was very chilled. They went for walks in their wellies, Meghan sat on a love-swing hung from a tree and they ate delicious food.
“She particularly enjoyed the hotel’s signature chocolate-coated candied orange and roasted home-grown vegetables.”
It comes as Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, left Kensington Palace for Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, following a £3million refit.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex earlier this week said they were “very excited” to welcome their new arrival.
