Prince Louis was pictured screaming in pain on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the Queen's incredible jubilee flypast by the Red Arrows on Thursday.

Kate Middleton and Prince William's youngest son, aged four, stunned onlookers as he clearly struggled with the barrage of noise from the 71-plane flypast.

The Queen could be seen interacting with her great-grandson Prince Louis, who was standing next to her on the balcony, and eventually helping him to settle.

However, the young royal was still visibly unhappy and appeared to continue grabbing his head as the noise of the jets receded.

A cheer went up when they spotted her on screens and she smiled as the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment passed the gates of Buckingham Palace.

The troopers took around five minutes to ride past and she could be seen chatting to her cousin the Duke of Kent, who had joined her on the balcony.

Prince Louis had earlier delivered a sweet nod to his father Prince William in his second Trooping the Colour appearance.

Eagle-eyed royal fans spotted the resemblance of Prince Louis' outfit to the one his father, the Duke of Cambridge, wore when he was young.
