Prince Louis seen for first time since July as Kate and Will land in helicopter

A video posted to social media by a royal fan shows the moment Kate Middleton and Prince William land in a helicopter at Kensington Palace with Prince Louis.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge usually spend half term holidays at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, but attended a state banquet to welcome the King and Queen of the Netherlands last night at Buckingham Palace.

The clip gave royal fans their first glimpse of six-month-old Prince Louis since his christening in July this year.

In the video, Prince William emerges from the helicopter with wife Kate, who steps out of the back of the chopper holding their bouncing baby boy.

The couple then head up a grassy slope towards the palace, with Kate wearing a long flowing burgundy dress and William swinging a bag as he walks.

Instagram user SpenClaire, who recorded the video, posted it on the social network with the caption: "Once upon a sunny Autumn day, a prince landed his helicopter in the royal gardens and carried his son’s baby bag into the palace."

Some viewers have suggested on Twitter that William might have flown the helicopter himself.

The Duke was an RAF search and rescue pilot in the military and then went on to get his civilian pilot’s licence before he joined the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

One said: "Yes HE does this … lol … once he landed the helicopter at kate’s parents residence for a quick pop in."

Others have rejoiced at the fact he seems to be carrying a bag for Louis’ nappies and other belongings.

Another said: "All I could see is that Louis seems to have on a pale blue sweater and blonde hair! Maybe he is wearing one like George had with "Louis" on it."

Kate dazzled in Princess Diana’s favourite tiara last night at the state dinner in Buckingham Palace – although her choice of gown has been questioned, with one person calling it her "worst ever" dress .

The Duchess also wore the Royal Family Order for the second time, made of glass rather than ivory.

She attended the event with Prince William, who walked with Prime Minister Theresa May in the procession before dinner.

Meanwhile, Louis’ uncle Harry is still on his royal tour of Commonwealth countries with new wife Meghan Markle.
