Rapper Christ Bearer gets married after Wu-Tang Clan star chopped off his own penis in 2014 – The Sun

A WU-Tang Clan rapper who chopped his own willy off has got married again – and says he was "fully functional" on his wedding night.

Andre Johnson, known to fans as Christ Bearer, tied the knot with third wife Cheryl Bush in a small ceremony on December 30.

Andre was high on mind-altering angel dust, meth and weed when he hacked off his penis with a steak knife and threw himself off a second floor balcony in April 2014.

Now he has found love again with Cheryl, who he has been dating for around six months, reports TMZ.

He told the site they have known each other longer and she supports him and "keeps him grounded" as he recovers from depression.

The rapper, who signed for Wu-Tang records in 2004, has also tried his hand at stand up comedy and says he is recording a new music album.

Surgeons were unable to reattach Andre's penis after he mutilated himself during a mental breakdown in 2014.

He recalled waking in hospital and thinking: "Whoa. I'm alive. Thank God."

He said in 2014: "I didn't want to kill myself. That was just my response to the demons.

"They were doing their best to get to me, but being alive solidified my thoughts. I'm alive, penis or no penis."

But he later said he was still able to enjoy sex fully and vowed to star in a porn film to prove it.

In 2017 he told a BBC Three documentary he still has a functioning manhood.

He said: “When I’m actually having the act of sex, it’s not like, 'Oh I wish I still had my s***.'"It’s like, 'I’m in there.' Like it used to be.”

Recalling the night he wounded himself, he said had been troubled by his past relationships with women.

He said: “At the back of my mind, my issues were eating me. I was thinking my interaction with women have been just callous, no moral code.

"I said, ‘I will fix this problem that is causing me so much misery.’

"That’s when I think the insanity kicked in. I said, ‘Yo, my d*** is outta control. I need a vasectomy.'

“I just jumped up, outta nowhere and I went to the kitchen

“I grabbed a knife and, bam, I pulled down my pants and… that quick” – he added miming a chopping motion.

He was then living with second wife Amatullah and their daughter.

She told the 2017 documentary: "We were both at the bottom when this started so the thought was, ‘we got to straighten this out and, whatever it takes, we’re willing to do.’”
