Road by Edmonton’s western outskirts closed after bus hits pair of pedestrians

The Edmonton Police Service shut down Hemingway Road between 201 and 205 streets late Friday afternoon in order to investigate a collision involving a bus and two pedestrians.

Police did not clarify what type of bus was involved but said the pedestrians were youths.

“EMS has responded, however, there are no updates on injuries at this time,” police said in a news release issued shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Drivers were being asked to avoid the area while police investigate the cause of the collision.
