The two-year-old and her older brother Prince George, four, melted hearts when they were led into the Lindo Wing by Prince William to visit mum and their new brother.
Footage has now emerged of an adorably tender moment between brother and sister as they go through the doors of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, west London on St George’s Day.
The Duke of Cambridge, 35, leads the way and guides them through the doors with a gentle pat on the back of their heads.
Picking up on his dad’s actions, Prince George appears to mimic his dad’s behaviour and raises his hand to lightly touch Charlotte’s hair, as if clumsily attempting to give is little sister a hug, but failing.
The doors then close and the pair continue on their journey to be introduced to their new brother, who was only a few hours old at the time.
Eventually Kate Middleton and William appeared outside the hospital with the new prince to the delight of adoring fans and the media and introduced their son to the world.
The name of the prince has yet to be released but Arthur so far seems to be the front runner with the punters with James and Albert also hot contenders.
Prince William joked about having his hands full, saying: "Thrice the worry now" as they headed home.
The new prince is now fifth-in-line to the throne, becoming behind Charlotte who maintains her position but Prince Harry has now down one place in the royal league table.
