Twisted Avril Griffiths, 61, and husband Peter, 65, were yesterday found guilty of raping three teenage girls.
The couple, of Barry, South Wales, plied girls with cigs and booze, Cardiff crown court heard. Griffiths raped one girl, aged about 13, while she was held down by his wife. They would take another victim dogging.
Now residents along their quiet residential street in Barry, South Wales, have revealed the reclusive rape couple's sordid habits.
A neighbour said: "You could see into the living room and there was always filth on the TV.
"They'd be watching porn or these pick up channels with the blinds open. You could see in plain as day.
"I knew they would go dogging here, there and everywhere."
Another neighbour, who wanted to remain anonymous, added: "Peter was perverted. They would make their own porn films in the living room too."
In another insult to their victims the Griffiths denied the string of sex attacks — and even "laughed off" their charges, locals claimed.
The neighbour said: "I've seen them coming and going recently and they looked like they thought they would get off. Like they were laughing at the whole thing."
He added that the reclusive pair "never socialised in any pubs around here" as rumours swirled about their seedy hobbies and perversions.
"I'm glad they've finally gone from this street after all this time. Good riddance."
The Griffith's string of sexual offences took place at their £160,000 horror house and in other locations between from the 1970s to the 1990s.
One of their sickening attacks even took place in Peter's bizarre "A-Team-style" van.
Cardiff Crown Court heard how they plied a teenage victim with vodka before forcing her to pose for indecent photos with them while they were naked.
Monster Peter then raped the girl — and said she could not get pregnant "because he had a vasectomy."
Another victim told the court she had felt "broken" ever since she had been raped by Griffiths as a teen.
A woman who was attacked by the pair when she was a teen had earlier told jurors: "Everyone hated them.
"They were the Fred and Rose West of the town — people would avoid them."
Another neighbour said: “We knew about it for years, they were having sex parties, filming pornos and going dogging.
“I’m just surprised it has taken this long for them to get caught."
And a shopper at a local corner store who has known the Griffiths' for several years said: "The whole estate is on fire with what has been going on.
"Everyone knew they were swingers. All you had to do is look at them and you'd think: 'They are the swingers.'
"They've always been messed up. I know parents at the school have been worried with all this going on."
Last night people were seen clearing out the house of horrors.
A fridge, boxes of tools and rubbish bags were placed on the driveway of the red-brick semi.
The white painted anchor, a relic from Peter Griffiths’ boating days, also stood by the front door of the property in the popular seaside resort.
Even this stands as a sickening reminder of their sex abuse — as one victim was raped on Peter's boat in the Bristol Channel.
The girl later told police she had been "ripped apart physically" after suffering injuries.
Chillingly, Peter was often seen by neighbours on his driveway painting his beloved boat — and would "go out late to go fishing".

Within weeks Rose became a nanny to his children.
They soon became a couple and moved to a flat in Gloucester, when Rose started working as a prostitute.
The couple soon embarked on a murderous spree, while also raising Rose's eight children – five of whom were fathered by Fred and the others by her clients.
All their victims were girls or young women. Eight of those murdered were used in sexual gratification including rape, bondage, torture and mutilation.
Cops only discovered their house of horror in 1987, when their final victim disappeared at the age of 17. Her mutilated body was found buried with eight other bodies.
In 1995 Rose was convicted of 10 murders, while Fred who admitted 12 murders hanged himself while on remand in prison. He had admitted to killed up to 30 victims.
Speaking after their sentence, Wendy Brady of the CPS said the couple treated their victims "as objects" who they befriend in order to sexually abuse them.
“They showed no regard for the welfare of the children they were abusing, treating them as objects to fulfil their sexual desires.
“The victims have shown great courage in telling the Court what happened to them.
"We hope they can start to move forward knowing that Peter and Avril Griffiths have been brought to justice.”
Peter Griffiths was found guilty of eight counts of rape, three of indecent assault and two of taking an indecent photograph of a child.
Avril Griffiths was found guilty of five counts of rape, two of taking an indecent photograph of a child and two of indecent assault.
The pair will be sentenced on 18 October.
