Tattooist stunned by man’s honest x-rated excuse for missing £350 appointment

A tattoo artist was gobsmacked when his client informed him he wouldn’t be turning up to his £350 session in an x-rated Facebook message.

Joshua Hancox, 27, from Bedworth, has been working as a tattooist for 10 years but says he has never been given such a bizarre excuse for cancelling an appointment.

On Sunday morning Joshua received a Facebook message from the customer saying he couldn’t come into the studio.

It read: ”Alright geez really sorry I can’t do today I’ve got 3 prostitutes at mine for the day and I’ve just had half ounce of gear dropped off."

And it didn’t end there. The man politely extended an invitation to his tattoo artist.

"I’ll pay for the day get your self round mine and get f***ed up," he wrote.

Joshua, who works at a studio in Tamworth, Staffordshire, told Mirror Online: "He was meant to be in the chair from 10am til 5pm, which is a normal day sitting for me. I charge £350 for it.

"I have been tattooing for 10 years and I’ve had some right excuses in my time – people not showing up or last-minute cancellations.

"When I first saw it I was lying in bed half asleep, looked at my phone and then fell back asleep. Then I woke straight back up, like, ‘have I really just read that properly?’"

An amused Joshua showed his housemates the message before posting it on his Facebook page, where it has had hundreds of shares.

"I didn’t really think it would be shared that much to be fair but it’s still funny and I can’t be mad at him,"

"At least he didn’t try and come up with some lies. He was straight up front with me why he couldn’t make it."

Around 11 hours later, when the prostitutes had left his house, the gentleman sent Joshua another message – but it’s too rude for us to repeat.

He added the party was "still going on" and there would be "no work tomorrow".

Thankfully Mr Hancox hasn’t lost any business from the cancellation.

"It’s normal if I have a no show. I normally put it on Facebook and it’s filled within half an hour so it wasn’t much of a problem."

He probably won’t have another excuse that memorable for a while…
