Hollywood celebrities along with famous sports stars and singers tweeted their approval at Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s pick of California Senator Kamala Harris to be his running mate in the 2020 presidential election.
The history-making pick will see Harris become the first Black woman and first Asian American on any major-party ticket.
LeBron James and Taylor Swift were among the big names taking to Twitter to voice their approval of Biden’s choice for November.
‘Love to see and support it!’ the Los Angeles Lakers forward said, tweeting a series of clapping emojis.
Taylor Swift simply tweeted ‘YES’ to Harris’ own announcement on Twitter earlier in the day.

His wife, Chrissy Teigen backed her husband. ‘F*** yes. excited to vote!! still amazed Election Day isn’t a national holiday. it needs to be celebrated, with a post vote bar crawl,’ she wrote.

Harris’s frequent impersonator on Saturday Night Live, Maya Rudolph, reacted to the news in an interview and Zoom call with Entertainment Weekly.
‘Oh, s***,’ Rudolph she said upon hearing the news.
‘I love going to the show. Any excuse I can get, I love. I just didn’t really anticipate traveling during a pandemic, but if there’s anyone that can work it out I’m sure Lorne Michaels has some sort of invisible helicopter that can get me there,’ she joked.
Rudolph, was nominated for an Emmy for impersonating Harris on the comedy sketch show.
‘I’m just as surprised as you are, guys.’ She said, ‘That’s spicy.’
‘Somebody’s gonna be very busy now,’ said comedienne Wanda Sykes, who was also on the Zoom call.
