Thursday's UK weather forecast — staying dry for most with very mild weather on the way

Some forecasters have predicted parts of the UK will be hotter than Spain with highs of 18-degrees according to experts.

Looking elsewhere, the outlook is dry but largely cloudy, although with some brightness, particularly in the north and east.

The all-important temperatures will see a very mild day for most of the UK.

Looking forward it’s largely cloudy but mainly dry on Friday. Staying dry through the weekend with increasing amounts of sunshine. After a mild start, it will gradually turn colder, with strengthening winds.

Much of next week it looks mostly cloudy with the best of the brighter spells in the west. Showers may affect eastern and some central areas, and these could turn wintry over high ground.
Cold weather will return, especially in the south.
Night frosts are likely and could become widespread at times.
Many places should stay dry, but rain could affect some southern and central areas, perhaps with hill snow.
Similar conditions are expected to continue into the following weekend and the last week of November.
