Two men drown at Teewah Beach on Sunshine Coast
Two men in their 30s have drowned and a child has been taken to hospital in a tragic afternoon at Teewah Beach on the Sunshine Coast.
Teewah Beach, north of Noosa, where two swimmers died on Saturday.
Queensland Police said in a statement on Saturday: "Emergency Services were called to Teewah Beach, Noosa North Shore at around 2.35pm in response to a drowning incident that resulted in the deaths of two men, aged in their mid 30s.
"A 9-year-old child was treated at the scene and transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
"No further information is available. A report will be prepared for the Coroner."
