Woman finds crystal that looks just like ‘most juicy piece of KFC chicken ever’
Biting into this finger-lickin’ golden nugget could end in a trip to the dentist as it is actually made from crystal.
Its owner Amelia Rude was stunned when she came across the mineral, which is a dead-ringer for one of KFC ’s tasty concoctions.
The jewellery boss, who owns Unbeadable Energies, has added the formation to her most precious stones collection but it reluctant to sell it because it is so unusual.
She posted the remarkable image to Reddit and Twitter, spawning hundreds of thousands of likes.
Amelia said: “I knew it played a pretty convincing fried chicken so I expected it might get a thousand upvotes or so, but I was surprised when it took off the way that it did.”
Despite looking like it would be the perfect companion for some barbecue sauce, the crystal would not actually be very nutritious.
Amelia identified it as a red calcite cluster – a type of calcium carbonate mineral which is one of the most common minerals on earth.
It forms the basis of marble and limestone and is renowned for shaping into colossal crystals.
Some believe the mineral enhances energy by releasing blockages from the body.
One Redditor said: “Colonel Sanders would be proud to make that, looks tasty as hell."

One more said on Twitter: “I want to get a bunch of crystals that look like food and just display them on a plate like a full meal.”
It comes after a schoolgirl with an extreme food phobia can now enjoy chicken nuggets for the first time after being hypnotised.
Martha Davies, 10, only ate white toast and would gag if she tried anything other than her bland diet of toast and the occasional handful of barbecue Pringles.
Even her Christmas dinner was a round of Warburtons Blue medium sliced toast washed down with a glass of water.
She developed her fear of food – known as neophobia, which means a fear of anything new – when she was 18 months old and went on to munch through five slices of toast every day.
Her parents are delighted she has finally been cured.
