The RTD rail lines along the downtown loop and Welton Street corridor will be interrupted starting next week as maintenance crews repair a section of rail.<\/p>\n
The D, H and L lines will be affected by the maintenance, which will be at the intersection of 14th and California streets, according to a news release. The downtown loop and Welton corridor will be closed from Tuesday, Sept. 26 through the following Wednesday, Oct. 4.<\/p>\n
L Line operations will be suspended for the duration of the closure. Riders can use Bus Route 43 as an alternative.<\/p>\n
The D and H lines will detour to Union Station during the interruption, running through Auraria West, Empower Field at Mile High and Ball Arena \u2013 Elitch Gardens stations.<\/p>\n
There will be no D or H line service at the Colfax at Auraria and the Theatre District \u2013 Convention Center stations or the downtown loop stations on California and Stout streets.<\/p>\n
All three lines will resume normal operations Thursday, Oct. 5.<\/p>\n
Downtown drivers may also be affected by the maintenance.<\/p>\n
Crews will replace all rail and track paving on 14th Street from the alley behind the Embassy Suites hotel near 14th and Stout through the 14th and California intersection.<\/p>\n
One driving lane and one parking lane on 14th Street will be closed, and California will be closed to through traffic at 15th Street.<\/p>\n
