NOW that the nights are getting colder, it\u2019s time to swap the light crisp summer ros\u00e9 for a nice warming glass of red.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

And while browsing the wine aisle for a bottle at his local Aldi, vino aficionado Tom Tryon spotted a rather hilarious dupe of a notorious celeb\u2019s boozy beverage.\u00a0<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

Tom regularly shares his wine expertise and recommendations with his 33.7k followers, and a recent clip of him reviewing Aldi\u2019s latest cheeky copy racked up a huge 220k views.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all love an Aldi dupe,\u201d the wine whizz began, \u201cbut this is hilarious.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

He then jumped to a shot of him showing off Cali Red, a swanky wine by the rapper Snoop Dog which sells for between \u00a312 and \u00a316.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is Aldi\u2019s version,\u201d he explained revealing a bottle of the supermarket\u2019s The Reprobates California Red.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Instead of featuring Snoop Dogg in a hood like the original, Aldi\u2019s one hilariously features<\/span> an actual dog wearing a hood.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aldi\u2019s version also comes in quite a bit cheaper, costing only \u00a39.99.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to put them to a taste test,\u201d Tom continues, cleverly naming his contest \u201cSnoop versus the dupe\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re both from California,\u201d the beverage buff notes, \u201cboth big and juicy, fruity flavours.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cFull-bodied, jammy, ripe,\u201d he adds as he pours a small glass of each.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Testing Snoop\u2019s offering first, he states: \u201cPretty big flavours, quite sweet, very ripe, jammy, fruity, vanilla-y, woody.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then takes a gulp of Aldi\u2019s version, noting \u201cyou don\u2019t get quite the same ripe fruitiness bursting out of the glass as Snoop Dogg\u2019s.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s a little bit more balanced, there\u2019s a little bit more savouriness, it\u2019s not quite so sweet,\u201d he finds.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBut still full-bodied, plenty of flavour, lots going on there.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Holding up Aldi\u2019s vindicated vino, he declares: \u201cthis one takes it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the caption, Tom explains a bit more about the reason for the slight difference in the taste, writing that \u201cAldi\u2019s version uses Shiraz instead of a blend of Zinfadel, Petite Sirah, and a few other California favourites\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And viewers in the comment clearly agreed with his verdict.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cFaaaarrr too sweet for me the Snoop one, as much as I wanted to love it,\u201d one admitted.\u00a0<\/p>\n
