A SPECTATOR has been left covered in blood after being struck by a ball at the Dunhill Championship.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fan was watching the action at St. Andrews on day two when a shot from Tommy Fleetwood hit him on the head.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

Fellow spectators could be seen comforting him next to the green after the incident.<\/p>\n

The golf nut, named as Andrew Summerskill, held a white cloth to contain the bleeding after taking Fleetwood's ball to his head.<\/p>\n

Fleetwood himself was also snapped apologising to the fan once he realised what had happened.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old is back in action after starring for Team Europe in last weekend's Ryder Cup triumph at Marco Simone.<\/p>\n

Across his four matches in Rome, the Englishman earned Europe four points, winning both his foursomes matches with partner Rory McIlroy.<\/p>\n

Fleetwood was then successful in his singles clash with Rickie Fowler on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The American conceding a putt to his opponent to hand Europe the Ryder Cup.<\/p>\n

It has been a less successful weekend at the Dunhill Championship for Fleetwood, though.<\/p>\n
