AN ENGLAND legend has been tipped to answer an \u201cSOS\u201d from the world's second oldest club and return to play at the age of 62.<\/strong><\/p>\n Chris Waddle officially retired in 1999 and has since gone on to work as a pundit for the likes of BBC Radio Five Live, ESPN and Showsports Arabia after a brief stint as a manager.<\/p>\n The Geordie winger made a name for himself at hometown club Newcastle United during the Eighties before a move to Tottenham Hotspur in 1985.<\/p>\n Waddle continued to bamboozle defenders for both club and country and that secured him a big-money \u00a34.25m transfer to French club Marseille in 1989.<\/p>\n After helping England to the semi-final of Italia 90, where he famously missed a penalty in the shoot-out defeat to West Germany, he returned to the UK in 1992.<\/p>\n He signed for Sheffield Wednesday and played for them for four years before going on to have spells with a string of lower clubs until his retirement.<\/p>\n
