THIS is the heart-stopping moment a hero mum pushed her baby to safety before she was mowed down by a drug-driver at a crossing.<\/p>\n

Becky Sharp was\u00a0left in a coma for two months\u00a0after being catapulted the "length of a\u00a0cricket<\/span>\u00a0pitch" during the\u00a0hit-and-run.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

Dale Clark was last month jailed for three years and eight months for ploughing into the mum.<\/p>\n

Footage has now emerged of the moment hero Becky pushed her 11-month-old baby daughter Lorena to safety.<\/p>\n

The mum had been taking the youngster to a play park in Bournemouth in April when the horror<\/span> unfolded.<\/p>\n

The clip shows Lorena's pram rolling out of harm's way as Becky takes the brunt of Clark's speeding car.<\/p>\n

Clark had been\u00a0driving\u00a0at 40mph in a 30mph zone with his phone, which was being used as a sat nav, on his lap at the time.<\/p>\n

He was in the right-hand lane when he suddenly veered across to the left where Becky was crossing the road with her baby.<\/p>\n

Andy Houston, prosecuting, said he "shot across and accelerated hard" as he smashed into the mum.<\/p>\n

She was catapulted into the air "like a ragdoll" before landing face down on the ground.<\/p>\n

Clark, who was described as having "girls and\u00a0drugs\u00a0on his mind" when he hit\u00a0Becky, fled the scene as she lay injured on the ground.<\/p>\n

The mum was airlifted to\u00a0hospital\u00a0in a vegetative state after suffering a traumatic brain injury, fracture to the skull, ribs, pelvis and lower left leg and a lacerated spleen.<\/p>\n

She remained in a coma for eight weeks and is still undergoing rehabilitation.<\/p>\n

Becky was branded a "hero" by the judge for her quick-thinking actions in pushing baby Lorena to safety.<\/p>\n

The court was told the mum has ongoing cognitive issues and problems with her memory.<\/p>\n

She also suffers from fatigue and has physical complications from her leg fracture that causes pain still.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the sentencing, the brave mum said: "I have no memory of the accident so it was good to hear from the barristers what happened.<\/p>\n

"My message to anyone who thinks about drinking or taking drugs and driving is never do it, it's not good for anyone.<\/p>\n

"My life has been turned upside down because of it and his (Clark) life has been turned upside down. The outcome is never good."<\/p>\n
