We must remove that country,&#8217; said the terrorist group&#8217;s former Foreign Minister Ghazi Hamad.<\/p>\n<p>His venomous diatribe drew immediate condemnation from British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, who tweeted: &#8216;How can there be peace when Hamas are committed to the eradication of Israel?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Hamad, 59, continued: &#8216;The occupation must come to an end\u2026 I am talking about all the Palestinian lands&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Asked on Lebanese TV if that meant the annihilation of Israel, he replied: &#8216;Yes, of course.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The existence of Israel is what causes all that pain, blood and tears\u2026 and must be finished. &#8216;<\/p>\n<p>He said &#8216;Israel must be taught a lesson&#8217;, adding: &#8216;We will do this again and again.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We are the victims of the occupation. It is a cancer that should be eradicated.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Hamad has previously expressed support for a Palestinian state under its pre-1967 borders.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This week he called for stronger intervention from allies in Lebanon in fighting Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Paying tribute to the 16 soldiers killed since the start of the ground war \u2013 Mr Netanyahu yesterday pledged to carry on &#8216;until victory&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8216;We are in a difficult war. It will be a long war. We have important achievements in it, but also painful losses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We know that each of our soldiers is a whole world. The entire nation of Israel embraces you, the families, from the bottom of our hearts. We are all with you in your time of great sorrow.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Our soldiers fell in an unjust war, the war for our home,&#8217; he added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I promise you citizens of Israel: we will complete the job. We will continue until victory.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have attacked an enormous total of more than 11,000 targets in Gaza since the war against Hamas began, they confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>The figure equates to an average of 78 missiles, airstrikes or artillery shells slamming into every square mile of the tiny enclave, the size of the Isle of Wight, and one of the most densely-populated areas on earth.<\/p>\n<p>The grim announcement came the day after Tuesday&#8217;s deadly air strike on the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, which killed &#8216;dozens&#8217;, of men women and chidren, according to Hamas.<\/p>\n<p>The terrorist group also claimed that seven of the 240 hostages it seized in the October 7 attacks on Israel were killed in Tuesday&#8217;s bombing.<\/p>\n<p>A new wave of air strikes was reported in the same refugee camp yesterday, causing still more death and destruction.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Jazeera television, which is still reporting from northern Gaza, aired videos of devastation and of several wounded people, including children, being brought to a nearby hospital.<\/p>\n<p>But Israel defended its action, saying they were targeting senior Hamas military leader Ibrahim Biari, and destroying his command centre and an underground tunnel network, along with dozens of other fighters.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/01\/20\/77287483-12699265-image-a-26_1698868917391.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>A Palestinian man and child injured in Israeli air raids arrive at Nasser Medical Hospital on November 1 2023 in Khan Yunis, Gaza<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/01\/20\/77059555-12699265-In_a_sit_down_interview_Mr_Hamad_suggested_there_was_no_command_-a-25_1698868907651.jpg\" height=\"360\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>In a sit-down interview, Mr Hamad previously suggested there was no command for Hamas to kill any civilians when they invaded Israel on October 7<\/p>\n<p>Visiting his troops on the Gaza border yesterday, Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant said: &#8216;Our ground operations are effective. Our forces are striking terrorists of all ranks \u2013 from those fighting on the ground and all the way up to their commanders.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;IDF activities are exposing tunnels, forcing terrorists to exit these tunnels, and dealing them heavy blows.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Unfortunately, there is also a price paid on our side, as with every battle.
