{"id":224097,"date":"2023-11-06T10:51:15","date_gmt":"2023-11-06T10:51:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/allworldreport.com\/?p=224097"},"modified":"2023-11-06T10:51:15","modified_gmt":"2023-11-06T10:51:15","slug":"meg-bellamy-reveals-neighbour-convinced-her-to-audition-for-the-crown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allworldreport.com\/lifestyle\/meg-bellamy-reveals-neighbour-convinced-her-to-audition-for-the-crown\/","title":{"rendered":"Meg Bellamy reveals neighbour convinced her to audition for The Crown"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Meg Bellamy who plays Kate Middleton in The Crown reveals her neighbour convinced her to audition while she was working as a brick at Legoland and insists she STILL doesn&#8217;t think she looks like the royal<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Actress, 20, opened up on &#8216;intense&#8217; experience filming at St Andrews this year\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Read More: Kate Middleton entertains children with maracas during a music session as she visits a parenting group for fathers in north London<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Meg Bellamy has revealed her neighbour convinced her to audition for The Crown and insists she still doesn&#8217;t think she resembles Kate Middleton.<\/p>\n<p>The actress, 20, will portray the Princess of Wales in the final season of the hit Netflix\u00a0show, which debuts on the streaming platform on 16 November.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to The Telegraph, the star, who grew up in Berkshire, explained how she wasn&#8217;t signed with an agent when Netflix put a call-out for young actresses on social media in April 2022.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Meg was working as a red brick at Legoland Windsor &#8211; which she described as &#8216;the best job ever&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>She said: &#8216;In April last year,\u00a0the opportunity [for The Crown] popped up on my Twitter, and at the same time my neighbour sent it to me and told me that I should go for it.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/09\/77449289-12714901-image-a-1_1699261309598.jpg\" height=\"844\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Pictured: Meg Bellamy and Ed McVery seen filming scenes for the final season of Netflix&#8217;s The Crown at St Andrews in March 2023<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/09\/77449295-12714901-image-a-2_1699261313884.jpg\" height=\"422\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Pictured: The Princess of Wales seen meeting farmers at Brodieshill Farm in Moray, Scotland, last week<\/p>\n<p>Although Meg&#8217;s neighbour was adamant that she looked just like the Princess of Wales, the actress said she had never been compared to Kate before.<\/p>\n<p>She added: &#8216;I never got that and I still think maybe I don\u2019t, but with the amazing hair and make-up teams and the costume department, once everything\u2019s put together, you have to have an essence.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Opening up about the audition process, Meg revealed that she had to tell producers her height to begin with.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside this, the star said the casting team also asked her to reveal a fun fact about themselves &#8211; with Meg opting to tell them about her job at the popular theme park.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During the process, Meg said she tried to &#8216;unleash her inner make-up artist&#8217; and carefully studied Netflix&#8217;s photo of Kate to figure out how the future Princess had applied her bronzer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She continued: &#8216;With every audition, I just watched and watched [Kate]. Reading about her and listening to her was so important both before and during.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Although the costume department had pictures of the Princess of Wales to base Meg&#8217;s wardrobe on, the actress highlighted how there are no videos of the royal speaking as a student &#8211; meaning some of her mannerisms where left to Meg&#8217;s interpretation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s more, the star also reflected on the &#8216;intense&#8217; period of filming at St Andrews in Scotland earlier this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/09\/77449291-12714901-image-a-3_1699261321512.jpg\" height=\"949\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Pictured: Meg Bellamy beams at her co-star in between filming scenes for The Crown.
