TOBY Cooperman is the wife of billionaire businessman, hedge fund manager and trader Leon Cooperman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As of 2023 Toby and Leon \u2014 who reportedly\u00a0invested in Manchester United in November 2023 \u2014 have been married for 59 years. <\/p>\n

Who is Leon Cooperman's wife Toby?<\/h2>\n

Toby Cooperman is a retired special education specialist and has had a lifelong interest in helping those with learning disabilities.<\/p>\n

For more than 20 years, she worked at the Early Childhood Learning Center, a school for special education students in Chatham, New Jersey.<\/p>\n

She has worked to establish a special needs department at the Leon and Toby Cooperman Jewish Community Center of MetroWest New Jersey.<\/p>\n

She also served on the Board of JFS and the Federation Board of UJA of South Palm Beach County.<\/p>\n

Toby, who was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and her husband Leon, who both came from humble circumstances, attended Hunter College and graduated in 1964.<\/p>\n

The pair met in French class and subsequently married the same year they finished.<\/p>\n

Toby and Leon are philanthropists, regularly donating to charitable causes and institutions they support.<\/p>\n

At the time Hunter president Jennifer Raab said: "With the Coopermans' gift, the library \u2014 which will cost a total of $45 million \u2014 is now only $9 million short of its goal."<\/p>\n

They regarded their gift as \u201ca way to celebrate both their 50th<\/sup>\u00a0wedding anniversary and their 50th<\/sup>\u00a0Hunter reunion."<\/p>\n

The couple also donate to\u00a0health\u00a0research, Jewish community causes and research and school grants.<\/p>\n

What is Leon Cooperman's net worth?<\/h2>\n

Leon Cooperman has a net worth of approximately $2.8billion dollars.<\/p>\n

He currently serves as the chairman and CEO of Omega Advisors, a\u00a0New York-based investment advisory firm managing over $3.3 billion in assets under management.<\/p>\n

The money man, who was the first in his family to earn a degree, spent 25 years at Goldman Sachs before he started his own hedge fund, Omega Advisors, in 1991.<\/p>\n

"I\u2019m the first generation in my family born in America, first generation to go to college. All of my education is public-school-based,\u201d Cooperman, 77, said in a CNBC interview in 2020. <\/p>\n

In 2018, he converted Omega Advisors into a family office, claiming he didn't want to spend more time chasing the S&P 500 market index.<\/p>\n
