MEGHAN was allegedly kept away from the Queen and Harry was ignored by William on the day she died, Omid Scobie claims.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, was "completely by himself" in the hours before his grandmother's death in bombshell new claims made by the author.

Harry was also allegedly kept in the dark about his grandmother's health until he "received a call from an unknown number" – which turned out to be from his father.

And it's claimed Charles told Harry to travel to Scotland without Meghan, to which he agreed after it was confirmed Kate would also not be in attendance.

Scobie, a friend of the Sussexes, has made the claims in his new book "Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival".

He writes: "Charles had cited 'protocol', but the reality was that Kate chose to stay back to pick up the children from their first day at a new school.

"'They just didn’t want Meghan there,' said a former Palace aide. Meghan, a friend added, 'could sense she wasn’t wanted.'"

Scobie claims Harry sent text messages to William asking how he planned on travelling to Scotland and if they could go together.

But he allegedly received no response despite there being seats on the private plane used to travel to Scotland.

The author claims William "clearly didn't want to see his brother" and Harry was left having to find his own way to Balmoral.

An initial serialisation of the book was published in People magazine this afternoon.

Scobie writes: "With no further information from other family members or Palace aides, the Sussexes and their team had to operate in the dark.

"Harry was informed that William had already secured a flight with his uncles Andrew and Edward (and Edward’s wife, Sophie), but he couldn’t get in touch with anyone about joining that flight.

"'It was upsetting to witness,' said a source close to the Sussexes. '[Harry] was completely by himself on this.'"

Scobie also claims there was a "tug of war" between Buckingham Palace aides and the duke's own team over whether to publicly announce the Queen's death without him knowing.

The book details how the Queen passed away at 3.10pm, with Harry unaware while on a flight to Scotland more than two hours later.

Scobie writes that the Prime Minister was informed an hour earlier.

Harry is said to have been "crushed" that the announcement was made public before he had been informed.

It is also claimed he did not see Charles, Camilla or William upon his arrival at Balmoral.

Scobie claims to have interviewed "current and former Palace staff" for the book, due out November 21.

The claims comes after Prince Harry rang his father yesterday to wish him a happy 75th birthday — their first conversation in more than six months.

The monarch is also said to have spoken with Meghan during the transatlantic call on a packed day of engagements.

</picture>BROTHERS AT WAR
