Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara, 40, has hinted at plans for the future as she and husband Aljaž Skorjanec are already getting excited to grow their family only five months after welcoming baby Lyra into the world.

The professional dancers, who both starred on the BBC One competition and called it a "blessing" that "saved" their relationship, have also been having the most "incredible" year as they continue to build their lives.

Chatting about what's to come in a new interview, Janette spoke about what's next for the couple as they would love Lyra to have "a little brother or sister".

"It's been an incredible year," the star said. "I gave birth to my beautiful Lyra. I'm dancing again onstage.

"It Takes Two is in my life, I'm very happily married and Aljaž and I couldn't be in a better place as parents and as a couple."

The star went on to say that after just "turning 40," she knows she has lots of "beautiful things" to celebrate.

"It's been my favourite year so far," Janette told Best magazine.

She then went on to tease that more babies could be on the cards as she's hoping for "more of the same" for 2024.

"Please keep delivering in abundance. I feel very fortunate, exhausted but happy!" Janette added.

The dancer also opened up on her experience as a mother as she and Aljaž continue to adapt to their new lives with their adorable little tot.

While times have been tough with travel down to London for It Takes Two, Janette revealed that she makes sure she's with her baby girl every morning, and then both she and Aljaž are together with her in the evenings.

The star also admitted that while becoming a parent has made her more "calm", it has made her positive and always-energetic husband more hyper.

"Parenthood has changed things, but not for the worse," Janette added. "We're more tired than normal, but we've realised even more what a great team we are."

In their journey to getting pregnant, Janette and Aljaž embarked on a round of IVF in a bid to get their little "miracle" baby.

After years of trying, the couple undertook fertility treatment and even got as far as tests, Janette taking hormones and having injections.

Thankfully, the couple discovered they were expecting their first child just before last Christmas.

Baby Lyra was born on July 28, and the couple are gearing up for their first festive period together as a trio.
