But when one woman decided to pinch pennies and do her own eyelashes, she was left mortified.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Abi Akharoh often uses her social media to share her top tips and tricks when it comes to beauty and loves to \u201cserve looks\u201d too.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But in one video, she shared the harsh reality of dealing with an at-home treatment gone wrong.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Speaking with her hand on her head as she showed off her eyelashes, she said: \u201cI\u2019m about to cry\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is what I get for being cheap,\u201d she went on while pointing at her eyelashes, which appeared to have bits of white glue all over it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cYour girl\u2019s a college student, I wasn\u2019t trying to pay for no lash tech, because the prices are getting crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n In a bid to save some money, she got a kit with individual lashes in it and some lash glue to secure them.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThese lashes will not come off,\u201d she continued. \u201cMy eyes are watering trying to take these lashes out.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n In the caption, she added: \u201clets see if i can get em off frr tho\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n People were quick to comment on the post as one person wrote: \u201cnoooo you used individual lash glue you supposed to use regular or cluster lash glue,\u201d followed by a crying emoji.\u00a0<\/p>\n TikTok user @abiakharoh replied: \u201cY\u2019all I promise the bottle says cluster lash glue\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n Another said: \u201cyou have to separate the lash from where you connected it, kind like popping them off\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201ci got that same glue u need to buy the remover,\u201d a third posted with three crying emojis.\u00a0<\/p>\n While a fourth added: \u201cI used that glue and I had no issues maybe used too much glue.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Sugarlashpro.com, there is a right way to remove eyelashes so that you don\u2019t accidentally take your natural lashes out too.\u00a0<\/p>\n After taking make-up off, they share: \u201cThis is when the coconut, olive, or almond oil can come into play.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIf your clients are asking for tips on how to get any leftover glue off their eyelids, this is the best time to suggest some natural oils.\u201d<\/p>\n They continue: \u201cYou can let clients know that sometimes lash glue is extremely difficult to remove, especially if they purchased a reliable brand.\u201d<\/p>\n You should then rinse off the falsies, which is the \u201clast step of safely removing them\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cFor this step, let them know they should be using an oil-free makeup remover on a cotton swab,\u201d they write. \u201cWiping them from the band, all the way up to the tip of the lash is the best way to make sure they are properly being cleaned.\u201d<\/p>\n And finally, you should dry off your lashes with a clean and dry paper towel.\u00a0<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/crop-24636522.jpg\")
