I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! campmate Tony Bellew was seen royally kicking off just before the credits rolled on Friday night.

The ex-cruiserweight world champion boxer had discovered that his team, Camp Away, had lost the luxury breakfast challenge, meaning he'd go another day without any delicious home comforts.

Speaking to MailOnline in the aftermath, co-presenter Dec Donnelly revealed: "He was like, 'That's not right. They're doing that because they want to see a fat man starve!'"

Ahead of the next Bushtucker Trial, the Geordie presenter was crossing his fingers and toes that Tony, 40, wasn't picked.

"If Tony has to do the drinking challenge he's going to punch me in the face. I mean, he can't even eat beans…" said Dec, referring to the time Tony spat them out.

Ant McPartlin then quipped: "He'll knock both of us out. Can we not do it, can't we send in a VT of ourselves?"

Before all this commotion broke out, Tony believed that he and Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard had defeated Fred Sirieix and Frankie Dettori in the handball challenge.

His face was a picture of true horror, though, upon realising that the First Dates maître d'hotel and jockey had in fact come out 21 points better off.

"That is a load of b******s!" he fumed. "We need VAR!"

Following these blustery scenes, I'm A Celebrity viewers took their reactions to social media, with one writing: "Tony scares me like he's going to kick off at any minute."

Another added: "Nah, can we not get a live stream of Tony Bellew's continuous reaction to that result, he's not far off being ready to swing at Ant and Dec with that losing rage building…"

This comes in the midst of a particularly upsetting time for Tony, who lost his beloved grandmother Rose just recently.

Before heading into the Australian rainforest, the sportsman exclusively shared with OK!: "I signed [the ITV contract] the day before she passed away, so there was no going back then. If I sign something, I honour my agreement.

"In an ideal world I would have left it but I had signed. I was coming, so I am here. But I am going back to bury her on the 15th. I was going to renegade if I couldn't move the burial date. I can bury her now when I get back."

He went on to note: "She was in a home. And she told my mum 'I'll be able to watch that [I'm A Celeb] every night'. So yeah, it is what it is. She'll be watching, you know, from wherever she is and whatever she's doing. She was a diamond of an old lady. She was wonderful."
