A POPULAR high street fashion chain has launched a huge closing down sale as it prepares to shut one of its shops for good.<\/p>\n
USC is closing one of its branches before Christmas and it has marked down all full price items by at least 20%.<\/p>\n

The fashion retailer is closing its store in Teeside Retail Park in Stockton-on-Tees later this month, according to local news reports.<\/p>\n
An exact date for the closure is yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n
It comes as shoppers have spotted closing down sale signage advertising that everything is 20% off.<\/p>\n
The Sun has contacted Frasers Groups – which owns USC – for comment and we will update this story once we have heard back.<\/p>\n
Shoppers rush to social media to comment on the closure.<\/p>\n One fan said: "It's close down, maybe there will be some bargains."<\/p>\n Another added: "Worth checking for bargains!"<\/p>\n And a third Facebook user shared the news with their friend who wrote: "No way, you will be lost."<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n USC, which has 16 standalone shops and dozens of concessions in other Frasers' owned stores, was bought by the group's owner Mike Ashley in 2012.<\/p>\n The group also owns brands like Flannels, House of Fraser, Jack Wills, Evans Cycles and Game.<\/p>\n It sells mens, womens and children's clothing from top brands like Ugg, Converse, DKNY and Calvin Klein.<\/p>\n But USC isn't the only Frasers brand with stores marked for closure.<\/p>\n House of Fraser also confirmed it is pulling down the shutters on its units in Guildford and Solihull.<\/p>\n Shoppers were found\u00a0rushing to the stores\u00a0to pick up some last-minute closing-down sale\u00a0deals.<\/p>\n Now, the retailer has announced it is closing its branch in Lakeside Shopping Centre, Grays,\u00a0Essex, in January 2024.<\/p>\n Frasers Group has also already\u00a0started opening "new concept" stores.<\/p>\n In September, it cut the ribbon on the latest of its new department stores combining popular brands like\u00a0Sports Direct\u00a0and Game in Norwich.<\/p>\n There are plans to open two further sites in Blackpool and\u00a0Sheffield.<\/p>\n Retailers\u00a0have been feeling the pinch since the\u00a0pandemic\u00a0while shoppers are cutting back on spending due to soaring\u00a0inflation.<\/p>\n High\u00a0energy\u00a0costs and a shift to shopping online after the\u00a0pandemic\u00a0are also taking a toll and many high street shops have struggled to keep going.<\/p>\n Brick-and-mortar stores have also seen a lack of footfall due to consumer habits switching to online shopping.<\/p>\n Fashion retailer\u00a0New Look, which has 400 locations\u00a0nationwide,\u00a0shut another one of its branches\u00a0over the weekend for good.<\/p>\n Co-op's College Green store in\u00a0Bristol\u00a0will be\u00a0closing its doors for the final time on December 9.<\/p>\n Jack Wills in\u00a0Worcester\u00a0announced it\u00a0will be closing down\u00a0for good this new year.<\/p>\n It's not just shops either,\u00a0pubs\u00a0and restaurants have been affected too.<\/p>\n Punters have been left gutted and reminiscing over their last pint as\u00a0another Wetherspoons pub closed this weekend.<\/p>\n Franco Manca, which has 70 branches, is to\u00a0close its original site\u00a0after 15 years.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, here is\u00a0every shop closing down in December\u00a0including\u00a0Poundland\u00a0and New Look.<\/p>\n Plus, nineteen bank branches are set to close their doors for the final time in December –\u00a0see the full list.<\/p>\n You can also join our new Sun Money Facebook group to share stories and tips and engage with the consumer team and other group\u00a0members.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/picture>SHOP TO IT <\/span><\/p>\n
