This Morning: Dermot and Alison send love to Holly
Holly Willougby has announced that she is quitting ITV’s This Morning after 14 years.
Holly, 42, said that it was an “honour to just be part of its story” before adding, “I have to make this decision for me and my family”.
Whilst fans flocked to share their shock at the news, This Morning co-host Alison Hammond led the tributes.
She commented on the statement: “This is a very sad day! Love you.”
Alison stepped in to present the show with Holly more frequently after long-time host Phillip Schofield’s sudden departure earlier this year.
Other members of the This Morning family also rushed to the comment section to share their goodbyes.
Regular guest Vanessa Feltz wrote: “We will miss you so very much my darling.”
Make-up expert Bryony Blake also left a comment: “Sending you and your family so much love Holly xx”
Whilst presenter and cook Donal Skehan penned: “Always the most lovely host each and every time I was on with you- thank you for being so sweet over the years and onwards and upwards! Sending lots of love D xx”
Dermot O’Leary’s wife Dee Koppang also sent her well wishes, writing: “Sending so much love.” Her husband is yet to comment.
Rochelle Humes who has presented the show over the years added: “This is a sad day ❤️ We love you x“
Juliet Sear who appears on the cooking segment of the morning show also commented: “So sad to see you go Holly wishing you loads of positive things for your new chapter xxx it’s been wonderful working with you for the last 8 years and making your birthday cakes to for the last 14lots of love to you and you family xxx”
Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, the tributes continued as Matthew Wright who often appears on the show to discuss news items wrote: “Gonna miss seeing Holly on @thismorning”
