The Great British Bake Off judges kick off returning show with a hilarious Godfather skit starring Paul Hollywood as sinister mob boss ‘Don Pauleone’ as he welcomes newcomer Alison Hammond to ‘the family’
The Great British Bake Off’s judges and hosts kicked off the fourteenth series with their very own The Godfather scene on Tuesday evening.
The hit Channel 4 show returned with host Noel Fielding joined in the iconic baking tent by newcomer Alison Hammond, who was confirmed as Matt Lucas’s replacement earlier this year.
The two hosts were joined by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith in the short film inspired intro based on the 1975 blockbuster.
The dramatic clip opened with credits reading, ‘Bake Off Pictures Presents The Breadfather’.
Paul Hollywood soon appeared looked dapper in a black tuxedo as ‘Don Pauleone’.

While Noel was then introduced as Noel Focaccia, before Prue made her grand entrance as ‘Pane di Leith’.
Newcomer Alison is the final star to join the group in the skit, going by the alias ‘Alison Cannoli-mond’.
A voice over can be heard saying: ‘Welcome to the family’ as the This Morning presenter leaned down to kiss a load of bread.
The skit came to an end with Alison, Prue and Noel staring into the camera while resting a hand on Paul, who is seated behind a desk as he cradles the thick loaf.
Later in the episode fans ‘declared their love’ and are ‘ready to die’ for new contestant Saku after just the first show.
Kicking off the series, the latest bakers were tasked to create a vertical cake infused with buttercream.
The Intelligence analyst, 50, admitted she was ‘not nervous’ but as time went on her nerves started to show.
This resulted in Saku having a Bake Off first… a Paul Hollywood hug.

Unfortunately unlike the Hollywood Handshake this did mean nothing but prompted fans to rush to X, formerly known as Twitter, to gush over the Sri Lankan-born baker.
One wrote: ‘I want it on record that I would die for Saku’
Another penned: ‘Figured out the baker I’m going to hyper-fixate over this series. love you Saku #GBBO’
A third said: ‘I already love Saku #GBBO’
It comes as Alison Hammond takes over hosting duties and confessed her nerves ahead of her debut episode.
