Ruth Langsford continues to suffer from chest infection
Ruth Langsford has taken to social media to share a health update with her fans.
The Loose Women star has been absent from the hit ITV show after being diagnosed with a chest infection earlier this week.
In a video filmed by her husband, Eamonn Holmes, Ruth, 63, could be seen breathing into a steaming device, which doctors advised her to do twice a day following her diagnosis.
In the clip, Eamonn, 63, can be heard asking: “What are you doing?” Before Ruth replied, “Steaming.”
Eamonn then jokingly asked: “Does it get rid of blackheads? Take deep breaths,” before Ruth hit back, saying: “Don’t make me laugh, it will make me cough.”

Ruth then appears to get annoyed with her husband as he continues to film her treatment, snapping at him: “It’s enough, I don’t want this Eamonn” before holding her hand up to the camera.
Despite telling Eamonn off for capturing the candid moment, she uploaded it to her Instagram page where she shared the details of the device with her one million followers.
Captioning the video, she wrote: “So day 3 of antibiotics and the doctor told me to steam twice a day….I try to do this in peace but @eamonnholmes decided to watch and offer helpful advice this morning! The steamer is from @beurer_official bought from @amazon if there are any other sufferers out there #chestinfectionsucks”
