Final trailer for The Idol
The Weeknd was spotted out in Beverly Hills just days after HBO confirmed his controversial series The Idol would not be renewed for a second series.
The 33-year-old was seemingly in good spirits as he made the short trip from Live Nation’s offices to his car.
He kept things casual in a plain black t-shirt, black Adidas joggers and Nike trainers, with a gold chain dangling from his neck.
In other photos obtained by MailOnline, the Canadian singer appeared to be annoyed by photographers as he frowned at cameras while entering his car.
The Weeknd, who was born Abel Makkonen Tesfaye was recently issued a huge blow after the news of his show’s demise.

After The Idol landed on screens in June, the drama was met with a slew of controversy and an abysmal response from fans and critics.
The series featured Lily-Rose Depp as Jocelyn, a vulnerable pop star who is trying to fix her image after a mental breakdown.
It also explored her complex relationship with Tedros (The Weeknd) a sleazy nightclub owner and cult leader.
However, the use of nudity and graphic scenes led many people to criticize the show on social media.

Despite The Idol’s critical response and poor ratings, actors including Da’Vine Joy Randolph who starred as Destiny hinted at the possibility of a second season.
As she told Variety, the instalment contained “Easter eggs and some stuff put in there that set things up for season two.”
She added the finale was “definitely open where there could be a season two”.
Speaking on the second season, Randolph continued: “I think that everyone’s intention is to have a second season. This was never intended to be a limited series.”
However, Deadline later reported that the show’s creative team didn’t have a multi-season arc planned for the series.
In a statement, an HBO spokesperson confirmed: “The Idol was one of HBO’s most provocative original programs, and we’re pleased by the strong audience response.
“After much thought and consideration, HBO, as well as the creators and producers, have decided not to move forward with a second season.
“We’re grateful to the creators, cast, and crew for their incredible work,” the statement concluded.
