B&M shoppers go wild over lovely garden decor scanning at tills for just £1 instead of £20 | The Sun

B&M shoppers are going wild over a bargain find for the garden scanning at the tills for just £1 instead of £20.

One savvy shopper spotted the pretty garden lights reduced price by using the B&M scanner.

The price on the box says £20 but when the item was scanned at the tills the customer paid just £1.

The happy shopper posted a picture of the lights to the B&M scanner and other bargains Facebook group and said: "My first ever bargain £1".

And other social media users were quick to comment on the post.

One person said: "Just been and there were none left at all."

And another commented: "Please keep an eye out, it won't say £1 you have to scan it with the app."

While another added: "You're lucky mine were a fiver."

It is not clear which B&M store the customer picked up the deal from, so bear that in mind before rushing down to your local store.

It might be worth checking ahead as not all stores have the same offers.

You can find your nearest B&M by using the store locator tool on the website.

We think this B&M offer will be hard to beat but we had a look around to see what other retailers were charging for similar outdoor lights.

A company called Coopers of Stortford had a similar set of Wisteria lights retailing at £19.99 and Temu also had some listed for £3.99.

It does appear that this offer from B&M is the cheapest around at the moment, but it is always worth checking before you buy.

And remember it is only a good deal if it is something that you were looking for in the first place.

If you are just buying something because it is on offer you are not necessarily saving money.

B&M shoppers say they have saved hundreds of pounds by using the store's free barcode scanner.

It is completely free to use you just need to download the B&M app.

The tool allows customers to see the reduced price of an item before the staff has even had time to reduce it on the shelves.

Some bargain hunters have even found bargains for as little as 10p using the scanner.

B&M has a loyal customer base and fans of the retailer often take to social media to show off their shopping hauls.
