Piers Morgan has named the royals accused of making alleged inappropriate comments about the colour of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son Archie's skin live on TV.
The controversial TalkTV host announced the names of two senior members of the Firm accused of raising racially insensitive questions aboutPrince Harry and Meghan Markle's then-unborn eldest child. During the outburst yesterday (Wednesday, November 29) he added he doesn't believe "any racist comments were ever made by any of the royal family."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex first made the allegations during their explosive 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. The claims were then repeated in Omid Scobie's latest biography, Endgame, released on Tuesday (November 28).

Scobie stopped short of naming the royals embroiled in the alleged row, but a Dutch translation of the book was published containing a passage – which hadn't appeared in the original English version – appearing to name the duo, the Daily Star previously reported. Copies were quickly pulled from shelves and the book's publisher in the Netherlands, Xander, published a statement saying the "error" was being rectified.
But Morgan said he planned to "end all this nonsense," adding that if people in the Netherlands could find out the names of the accused royals, Brits should be able to as well. "There is, again, massive speculation about who the people are who were supposedly making comments about Archie’s skin colour, which is incredibly unfair to all the royal family," he said.

The Daily Star has chosen not to publish the royals named on Morgan's show. The Firm is now said to be "considering all options" in the wake of Piers' outburst, including legal action.
Meanwhile Scobie has admitted to knowing the names of the people accused by Harry and Meghan but denied ever including them in any versions of his book. He told Dutch chat show RTL Boulevard: "The book is in several languages, and unfortunately I do not speak Dutch.

"But if there are translation errors, I'm sure the publishers will have it under control. I wrote and edited the English version. There's never been [a] version I've produced which has names in it."
He later added: "Having only written and edited the English version of Endgame, I can only comment on that manuscript, which does not name the two individuals who took part in the conversation. I’m happy to hear that the error in the translation of the Dutch edition is being fixed."
He claimed he learned the names from letters exchanged between Meghan and King Charles in the wake of the tell-all with Oprah. During the chat, Meghan claimed there had been "concerns and conversations about how dark his (Archie’s) skin might be when he’s born."
The statement prompted the late Queen to issue a statement saying "recollections may vary" but adding the allegations were "concerning". Prince William later told a reporter: "We are very much not a racist family."
Scobie is set to give his first UK interview since Endgame's release today (Thursday, November 30) on ITV’s This Morning.
