Police have launched an investigation after the body of a woman was found in the River Severn.
The grim discovery was made just after midday yesterday in Kempsey, Worcestershire.
The woman has not yet been identified but the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: ‘Officers recovered a woman’s body from the River Severn in Kempsey, Worcestershire on Wednesday 4 October.
‘The body was discovered at around 12.25pm.

‘Formal identification is yet to take place, but the death is not being treated as suspicious.
‘A report is being prepared for the coroner.’
