Holly Willoughby quits ITV’s This Morning after 14 years
Holly Willoughby seemed to be “out of character” and showed “feelings of vulnerability” and “anxiety” on her final day hosting This Morning, according to body language expert Judi James.
October 4 ended up becoming the presenter’s last appearance on the show after presenting it for 14 years.
On the day, she returned to her normal hosting duties and appeared to be her usual bubbly self, alongside co-presenter Josie Gibson.
During the episode however, Judi claimed Holly’s body language suggested she may have been “in a hurry to end the show”.
The expert told Express.co.uk: “Holly’s sign-off looks so terribly sad and uncharacteristically tense or anxious.

“She is playing with her notes, running her fingers up and down them in an anxiety ritual and she even talks over Josie, which is totally out of character and might suggest she’s in a hurry to end the show.
“Her arm goes out around Josie at the end and Josie responds in kind in a touching part hug of support.
“She also seems to be standing with her legs crossed at the ankle more during this show, which is a self-diminishing gesture that hints at feelings of vulnerability or a lack of confidence.”
Holly was due to return to the show the following day, but was absent with no explanation.

Following the news, reports claimed Holly was on indefinite leave from the show, but last night, she confirmed she had quit.
As part of a lengthy statement on Instagram, Holly thanked her team and viewers for their support over the years in what she called a “difficult goodbye”.
She added she “sadly” felt like she had to make the decision for her and her family.
“I will miss you all so much,” Holly concluded.
After sharing the announcement, many of her co-stars rushed to the comments section to send their support.
Josie Gibson wrote: “You’ve made me laugh until my cheeks ache sharing the sofa with you. We are sending you so much love HW.”
Craig Doyle added: “We are so supportive of you and we love you to bits, we just wish it didn’t end this way. Its a sad day for everyone.”
Alison Hammond typed: “This is a very sad day! Love you.”
This Morning fans have since voted for who they want to see replace Holly, with Josie currently being the top choice.
The ITV show airs weekdays from 10am.
