‘My ideal meal is just mostly vegetables,’ he said.
In terms of specific foods, Dr Gundry recommended broccoli, arugula, bok choy, and similar items fill at least half of the plate.
He said that the other half should consist of sweet potato or millet, and then some meat.
‘You should always chop up some avocado and then drizzle the whole plate with olive oil to finish off,’ he added.
Dr Gundry also revealed that his favourite fruit was passionfruit.
‘I grow it myself, and it’s so healthy,’ he said.
‘The inside of the fruit has seeds that have a lot of gelatinous material which is full of prebiotics.’
He shared that prebiotics are a type of fibre that good gut bugs like to eat.
