Harry Kane went 'against the norm' during Bayern Munich transfer talks, reveals German club chief | The Sun

HARRY KANE is said to have "gone against the norm" during his negotiations with Bayern Munich.

The England international joined the Bundesliga giants this summer in a £104million transfer from Tottenham.

Kane, 30, has started his career in Germany in good form having scored three goals in his first two Bundesliga outings.

He has even equalled a club record start with his goals in as he matched Gustav Jung and Adolfo Valenica's starts to their Bayern careers.

But Kane was impressing his new bosses before he even signed his contract as Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed.

Rummenigge admitted that Kane was a "good guy" and always made himself available for talks, even when on holiday.

Rummenigge told Bild: "We all agreed in our transfer committee from day one that we wanted to make this transfer.

"Everyone then had their job, and mine was to keep in touch with Harry a lot.

"I talked to him a lot and immediately realized what a good guy he is.

"I had the first contact when he was still on vacation in the Bahamas.

Rummenigge also revealed that he told Kane that Bayern would do whatever was needed to seal a transfer.

He admitted that Kane was the club's "most important" target for the club this summer.

He added: "I said to him, 'We will do everything to make this transfer happen, because we all believe that you are the most important man in the entire transfer market for us'.

"I also told him about my own transfer to Inter Milan in 1984.

"I had everything at FC Bayern, I was practically the king with a large court, but I still wanted to gain this new experience abroad and then told him that it wasn't an easy transfer for me either."

Kane has been doing his best to adapt to the new lifestyle in Germany.

He he has been taking language lessons a couple of times a week and has also picked up his company car.

As well as driving the Audi, Kane is also obliged to wear a lederhosen during Bayern's annual Oktoberfest celebrations.
