A man was found guilty of getting a 15-year-old girl drunk before having sex with her and posting footage of it online.
Abu Huraira, 23, invited the child to a Halloween party in October 2019 at his flat in Victoria Street, Edinburgh where he plied her with a bottle of Cactus Jack schnapps until she passed out.
Later, the young girl woke to find herself naked in bed and the brute, who was in university as a nursing student, on top of her. Huraira's friends filmed him having sex with the adolescent victim and the recording was then shared on the Snapchat messaging app, reported EdinburghLive.

The distressed teen fled the flat in Edinburgh city centre and later confided what had happened to her to family members. It was later revealed that Huraira, from Glenrothes, Fife, and the girl knew each other through relatives, although he claimed he did not know the child was underage.
Huraira pled guilty to a charge of having sex with an older child and penetrating her with his penis between 26 and 27 October 2019 when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week.
Prosecutor Matthew Millar told the court: “The complainer said she does not know how she got into the bed or how she got changed but she found herself lying on the bed naked, but had no idea how her clothes got off. The complainer said, ‘the covers were moved to the side of the bed and I wasn’t under them and I remember Huraira having sex with me – I have no idea how that came about’.”
The fiscal said the girl then turned to her side and saw a friend of Huraira’s recording the sexual encounter on his phone and “other party guests came into the room and began laughing at her.” The fiscal told the court the girl said she was “scared” during the incident and Huraira later told her the footage had been shared with others on Snapchat.
Calum Harris, defending, said his client was 19 at the time of the offence and is currently studying a nursing degree at the University of Dundee as well as studying law with the Open University. Mr Harris said Huraira is also working through an agency as a care assistant at a local hospital and regarding the girl “he was not aware of her age and he stands by that strongly”.
Mr Harris added Huraira does not drink alcohol due to his faith and described him as “a young man with a lot of promise”. Sheriff Daniel Kelly placed Huraira on the Sex Offenders Register for a term still to be decided and asked the Crown to provide him with a victim impact statement at the next hearing. The sheriff released Huraira on bail and deferred sentence for the preparation of a criminal justice social work to next month.
