Ferne McCann revealed that she and fiancé Lorri Haines told each other they were in love on the very first day they met.
The former TOWIE star, 33, described how she knew she had ‘met her match’ in the 32 year old businessman – known as Lozza – on “day one”. Ferne and Lorri welcomed their daughter Finty in July this year.
Their new arrival came a year after the pair got engaged when Lorri popped the question in Paris following a whirlwind romance. The couple started dating in 2021 and only went public with their relationship at the start of last year.
And now Ferne has opened up on how things started for the pair. Speaking about their engagement on the Saving Grace podcast, while cradling baby Finty in her arms, Ferne said: “I never thought it would happen for me babes. I’ve had such bad luck with men. Such bad luck. I always went for the wrong guy.
“When Lorri came along I was like ‘yes, so happy. So so happy’. We did jump into the deep end. Literally when we met each other we told each other on day one that we loved each other.
“I was like ‘I’ve met my match’ because I am quite impulsive. I’m normally all in and he just matched my energy. It was perfect.”
Earlier this month, Ferne, who already has a daughter Sunday, five, with her ex Arthur Collins, appeared on This Morning to discuss her experience of giving birth to Finty – revealing that the she didn’t push, she “breathed her out”.
The reality star also explained how she was excited for the birth of Finty to be aired on her TV show My Family & Me – as she hadn’t been allowed to properly speak about it yet.
She went on: "I didn't push, I just breathed her out. I didn't do any work. I was the vessel and Finty birthed herself. I got my home birth, it took a turn and I literally just breathed her out. I surrendered."
Ferne then revealed that she would have another baby "tomorrow if the birth was like that again".
Ferne previously opened up to OK! about why she had opted to give her daughter the unique name Finty Francis Haines-McCann. She explained: "It was on my name list when I gave birth to Sunday. I don’t know where I got it from, but when I typed it in [on Google] I saw Judi Dench’s daughter’s nickname is Finty.
"I’ve always loved it and never heard it anywhere else before. I just feel so connected to the name – she came out and she was just Finty. I think she sounds like a character out of Bridgerton.”
Meanwhile, the first episode on Ferne’s new ITVBe show aired this week. The show follows Ferne's pregnancy with Finty and this week saw the ex TOWIE star storm off in tears after rowing with Lorri about the plans for the home birth.
