Man Utd 'offer Anthony Martial to Real Madrid in shock transfer' amid injury crisis but face making massive loss on star | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED have offered Anthony Martial to Real Madrid for around £13million, according to reports.

The Red Devils are claimed to be keen on shifting the Frenchman before Friday's transfer deadline.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti last week ruled out making another signing this month.

He said: "I rule it out. One hundred per cent."

But United's cut-price offer on a player that cost them around £50million in 2015 could tempt Real Madrid back into the market.

According to Fichajes, the Spanish giants are considering whether or not to make the swoop.

They add that Ancelotti and Co could be tempted, following the injury suffered by Vinicius Jr over the weekend.

The departure of Karim Benzema for the Saudi Pro League has also left a hole upfront.

If it's deemed Martial would fit into Ancelotti's system, Real chiefs will reportedly make the move.

It's added that they could also take Martial on loan, without the obligation of making the switch permanent.

Real Madrid signed Jude Bellingham for £115m early on in the transfer window.

They have since been quiet in the market, only further adding Arda Guler, Fran Garcia, Joselu and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Club chiefs are keen to finally sign Kylian Mbappe next summer.

The Frenchman is set to be out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain.

Martial, meanwhile, started United's 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

The 27-year-old also made a five-minute cameo against Tottenham the week before.

He has made 300 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 88 goals.

Martial spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan at Sevilla, scoring once in 12 games.
